Jim Monk, CSP
President
Jim Monk is President and owner of Markham Property Services Ltd. in Toronto, Canada. Jim entered the green industry as a high school student in 1986, mowing lawns each summer to finance university and several winters of traveling. In an attempt to avoid getting a "real job", Jim began providing snow and ice management services in 1993, and has since grown MPS into a year-round organization employing 40 staff. Jim is a CSP, and lives outside Toronto with his wife and three daughters.

Larry Dail, CSP
Vice President
Larry has been in the snow business since 1982 in several aspects. Starting as an employee, then a self employed sub, now as a business owner that utilizes many subs. AAA Outdoor Services Inc., specializes in "Maintaining a clear and safe passage for your employees and customers during the snow season". The focus of the business is 24 hour a day, 7 day a week clear passage, no matter what the weather conditions are presenting.

Bob Wilton
Secretary
Bob Wilton, a graduate of Ryerson University, Business Administration, founded Clintar Groundskeeping Services in 1973. He has served on numerous Landscape Ontario committees over the years to help develop the professional standards of the industry, and has recently been appointed as Chairman of that organization's "Snow & Ice Control" commodity group. Bob lives in the Toronto area, and is married to Margaret, and has three sons, Todd, Jason, and Ryan.

Chris James, CSP
Treasurer
Chris has 27 yrs. experience in both Snow & Ice and The Green Industry. He is the Owner of Chris James Landscaping, Inc. that employs 12 people year-round and 20 during the peak season. Consultation services is also something Chris does well through Snow & Ice Solutions and VanderKooi & Assoc. He is also the lead instructor at Rutgers University for their Snow & Ice Management Program.

Bob St. Jacques, CSP
Immediate Past President
Bob St. Jacques is President/Owner of Four Seasons Landscaping, Inc. and Operations Manager of St. Jacques Family Enterprises, LLC. He has steadily grown his company since its founding in 1980 to be the multi-million dollar entity that it is today. He is both a Certified Snow Professional and Certified Landscape Professional and continues to gain knowledge from the vast resources of SIMA and other Landscape organizations to keep both certifications current. Bob resides in Windsor, CT. with his wife and three children.

Mike Nelson, CSP
Director
Mike Nelson has been in commercial snow and ice removal since 1986. He was trained in heavy equipment while in the U.S. Army Reserve where he served 11 years and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is President of the M.J. Nelson Group, which was founded in 1999 in Fishkill, N.Y. with the goal of serving more complex clients that require technically sophisticated service and 24/7 operations. Mike has the responsibility for the management and long-term strategic planning of the company. He is a Certified Snow Professional.

Alan Steiman, CSP
Director
Alan Steiman bought his first plow truck in 1974. He has now been in the snowplowing business for 30 years, working with his landscape and masonry businesses, Alan Steiman Landscape, in the off-season. Alan has been a member of SIMA since 1998, and on the board of directors since 2003. His goal is to support and improve the snow plowing industry. Alan lives in Northboro, Mass. with his wife and three children.

Brian Akehurst, CSP
Director
Brian is Co-Owner of Akehurst Landscape Service, Inc., Joppa, MD. The Akehurst family celebrated its 125th year in the professional horticultural business in 2001, and today the business offers its clientele a wide range of professional services: design and planning; landscape construction and installation; grounds maintenance and interior plantscaping; as well as holiday décor services and snow and ice removal.

Rick Winnestaffer, CSP
Director
Since 1981, Richard Winnestaffer has been President and CEO of WinnScapes, Inc., a residential/commercial lawn and landscape, design/build/maintenance firm with an emphasis on snow and ice management. He is also President of Winn Properties. Richard is a Zoning Commission Board Member of Jefferson Township, Ohio since 1993 and Past Chair. He has also been a member of the Riverwatch Tower Association Board of Trustees since 2002.

Mike, CEO of Customers Outdoor Services, has been in the landscape maintenance and snow removal business since 1988. Guided by the motto that "OUR CUSTOMERS ALWAYS COME FIRST," Customers Outdoor Services has grown into one of the premier outdoor property maintenance companies in southeast Michigan specializing in Landscape Construction, Landscape Maintenance, and Snow and Ice Management.

Craig Geller, CSP
Director - Associate Representative
Craig Geller is the VP of Sales & Marketing at Pro-Tech Manufacturing & Distribution. He has expertise in sales, marketing and distribution in both capital equipment and services. He is versed in the disciplines of Economic Value Added and a trainer/advisor in many sales, marketing, financial and management areas of business. Craig is a Certified Snow Professional and a CPA with a BS in Accounting from SUNY Fredonia.

Craig Kemmerling
Director - Associate Representative
Craig Kemmerling is National Sales Manager for the Louis Berkman Work Products Co.. Craig has demonstrated his ability to “drive” sales with a strong knowledge of the Meyer, Swenson & Magnum product lines and tremendous application knowledge and “know-how” in the Work Truck industry. Craig is a 4-year veteran of the snow and ice control business (Meyer & Swenson), most recently Business Development Manager. Prior to Meyer and Swenson, Craig spent over ten years in the outdoor power equipment business with OPE dealerships and MTD.
