In order to have a positive move in/out, installation and show, please read through all of the following information very carefully, as there are several items that must be accomplished prior to your arrival in Minneapolis, MN. Click any link on the left for more information.

- All crates and empty boxes MUST be off of the show floor by the close of installation
|Exhibitors must dismantle their booths on:ALK LK||Friday June 21, 2013 | 1:15PM-6:00PM|
- All freight carriers must check in at the Paramount Convention Services service desk by 6:00PM on Friday, June 21, 2013 or your freight will be re-consigned onto the show carrier.
- PCS will begin returning empty containers as soon as the aisle carpet is removed from the exhibit floor.
If you will need to park a large trailer or semi-truck/trailer during the length of the show, please contact Leigh Everett. You must notify this contact by 5/1/2013 about your oversize parking needs. Download more oversize parking information here (pdf).
Exhibitors must register for name badges prior to the show. The deadline for pre-registration is June 12, 2013. To register, click here.
All representatives at your booth must have a SIMA issued name badge to be allowed access to the exhibit hall. Each exhibiting company can receive up to two (2) full registration name badges for the Symposium, and four (4) trade show only name badges. The full registration allows access to all parts of the Symposium, with the exception of the ticketed events. The 'trade show only' badges allow access to the exhibit floor only.

Ticketed events, including the Awards Banquet and Closing Reception, may be purchased for 'full registration' representatives only. SIMA encourages you to sign up for these events, as they give you more opportunities to network with attendees. Due to demand, Exhibitor trade-show only badgeholders are not able to purchase snack and chat tickets or the pre-conference event, however the two (2) full registered badgeholders for your booth may purchase tickets for those events.
All representatives from your company, provided that they have a name badge, are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening!

- Each booth is equipped with 3' side pipe & drape, 8' back pipe & drap and 1 identification sign with your company name.
- Additional equipment, including furniture, carpeting, internet, A/V, etc. can be ordered through the exhibitor service kit.
Certified Weight Tickets: All uncrated/unskidded machinery equipment MUST have a certified weight ticket prior to arriving at the Minneapolis Convention Center. SIMA appreciates your cooperation.

SIMA is once again proud to work with Expobadge to offer lead retrieval services to our exhibitors this year. Use lead retrieval to organize your sales efforts onsite, and to save time after the show for follow-ups. Options include onsite printing devices (electricity required), handheld scanners, and a mobile application for smart phones!

SIMA will be providing security for the trade show hall during non-trade show hours, starting the evening of Tuesday, June 18th. Please note that there will not be a security guard in the loading dock area, so any materials should be accompanied by a member of your team to ensure security of your property. SIMA is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Each SIMA exhibiting company is welcomed and encouraged to run door prize programs at their booth. SIMA will feature a list of exhibitors offering door prizes in the Symposium Extra publication, provided to all show attendees. To be included on this list, please email your company name, booth number and a short description (50 words or less) of the door prize to Brian Birch at Brian@sima.org by April 15, 2013.
Each exhibiting company is fully-responsible for administering their own door prize program. SIMA is not responsible for administering any part of an exhibitor-run door prize program during or after the Symposium including, but not limited to, verbal announcements of winners, and delivery of prizes.

Tell your customers where you’ll be in June 2013! SIMA is again offering free VIP trade show passes for exhibitors to distribute to their customers. These passes allow access to the trade show floor of the Symposium only, and each pass is only good for one day of the trade show. Passes will be distributed electronically (via email including a PDF for you to forward along to customers or print/mail). Please email Heather Carew with your request for VIP passes.

All exhibitors must provide SIMA with a Certificate of Insurance, naming SIMA as additional insured on your general liability policy with a $1 million umbrella, listing the dates of the show (June 19-22nd, 2013) by April 1, 2013. Please have your insurance agent fax the certificate to SIMA at 414-375-1945, email to Laura Poll at SIMA, or mail to the SIMA Office at 7670 N. Port Washington Rd, Suite 105, Milwaukee, WI 53217. Please ensure that the coverage lasts through June 22nd, 2013!

SIMA does everything possible to encourage attendees to attend the trade show floor, stay for longer periods of time, and circulate through the floor. Here are our plans for 2013:
- Thursday early afternoon: SIMA will offer free beer and soft drinks for attendees on the floor on Thursday
- Friday Morning: There will be a keynote address by Judy Guido directly before the opening of the trade show on Friday.
- Friday early afternoon: SIMA will provide free lunch to attendees on the floor in the early afternoon before the close of the show
- SIMA Booth: During both days of the show, SIMA will hold several short educational sessions on the trade show floor as a free value to attendees
Offical trade show hours are 1-5pm on Thursday, June 20th | 9:15-1:15pm on Friday, June 21st.
- During trade show hours, exhibitors can use the Exhibitor Lounge on the trade show floor to relax and eat, or bring key potential clients to a quieter space to talk business.
- Thursday from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm, SIMA will provide free lunch for exhibitors in the Exhibitors Lounge
- Free lunch on the trade show floor on Friday (available to all attendees & exhibitors).
If you are planning to sell product directly on the trade show floor, your company is solely responsible for following all guidelines and laws regarding sales tax in the state of Minneapolis.
