Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist - Hybrid | Milwaukee Area
Reports To: CBO, Chief Business Officer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, assisting with reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization while developing valuable skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. This position will offer 20-25 hours per week and the expected salary range is $25-$35 an hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely and proper collection of outstanding balances
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes
- Assist Accountant in reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy
- Review and prepare aging reports
- Management and Reconcile company credit card and receipts
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to address payment issues and inquiries
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to facilitate timely payment processing
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and interactions with customers
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
- 3+ years of proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Applications
- Quickbooks Online experience is a Must
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
